If
you have been sexually assaulted:

Immediately following the assault, victims may feel a need to clean up
before seeing anyone. It is important not to change the condition of the crime
scene or the victim's physical condition, in the interest of preserving
evidence.
If you are in a safe place, call your local police
department or go to a local hospital, or call The
Crisis Center (432) 333-2527.

If
you were sexually assaulted MORE than 72 hours (three days) ago:

Contact
the police station in the jurisdiction where the assault occurred.
- Tell the
police what happened. They can set up an appointment for you to come in and make an official
statement.

If you are currently considering suicide, these are some
options to consider:

yourself into the emergency room (there are options for those without
insurance).
- Talk
to a friend, family member, or co- worker who can help find you immediate
help.
Remember, suicidal feelings result when pain exceeds coping
resources…but there ARE other ways to cope with the pain.
